ALBO

A new image to a Galician heritage

Due to the impossibility of growing in their actual site, the galician fish canning firm ALBO decided to move to a new place in the surroundings where they will create the new headquarters. We created a new factory achieving production standards, and creating a sustainable factory that minimises energy consumption by applying passive methods, supported by renewable energy production systems.

The project begins with the research of the company and their products. After that, we made an study of the processes developed for the different products and their seasonality, as fishing species change every month, and we wanted to know the maximum work that they will have to handle.

The final building will be situated in the PLISAN, a new industrial park that belongs to the Port of Vigo Authority, so they call it «dry port». With this new site, the factories that ALBO has across Galicia and Asturias will be gathered in this new building.
